LEGALITIES, ARE 4D PLATES LEGAL?

The answer is YES! Certain requirements need to be met in order to pass an NCT & be road legal. Such as, the IRL EU badge must be blue, the county name must be displayed above the registration i.e. 'Cill Dara' 'Baile Átha Cliath' & the digit rising from the plate must be in the Irish font while remaining fully black. These options are available to order through our 3mm & 5mm 4D Irish font plates.

Customers who choose to order a black IRL EU or any of our Neon Plates, are not guaranteed to pass an NCT test.

The only 2D number plates guaranteed to pass the NCT test are ‘NCT compliant number plates’, which are available in the standard number plate selection. 

DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Delivery

Delivery is available in the checkout. Once a tracking number has been generated for your order, you should receive an email containing it. Delivery is 2-4 working days. On the day of delivery our postal partner DPD will notify you of an estimated time of delivery.

 

Collection

Collection is available in the checkout. After placing your order, you should receive a confirmation by way of SMS or email. We aim to have collection orders ready within 24hrs, depending on how busy it is.

 

FITTING

Fitting is free on collection. The easiest way to fit is by using number plate frames, these are fixed to to the vehicle first and the plates are then inserted. Leaving a cleaner finish with no screws or caps showing. Using number plate frames also makes it easier to swap your non NCT guaranteed plates for your originals, it takes roughly 30 seconds to swap both plates once the frame is fitted.  

Do not drill or put screws through your 3D/4D plate digits.

 

I MADE AN ORDER, BUT DIDN'T RECIEVE CONFIRMATION?

Sometimes, a confirmation email may end up in your spam/promotional mail box, these should be checked to ensure that you didn't receive confirmation. If you made an order and didn't receive a confirmation email/SMS please contact cian@freshplates.ie.
